Vendor Business Development Manager | Trainocate Group | Singapore

Trainocate Vendor Business Development Manager at Trainocate is responsible for identifying, developing, and managing strategic relationships with vendors to support Trainocate’s business goals in technology training and education. This role involves sourcing and evaluating potential vendors, negotiating favourable contract terms, ensuring vendor compliance, and driving initiatives to enhance vendor performance and collaboration. Effective communication with internal and external stakeholders, budget management, and continuous adaptation to industry changes are key to success in this role.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Revenue Growth

i. Drive and contribute to revenue growth through product innovation and services that meet market demand.

ii. Collaborate with in-country sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities and leverage vendor relationships to drive revenue growth.

iii. Explore opportunities to expand into new markets or customer segments by partnering with vendors with complementary offerings.

Vendor Identification and Performance

i. Identify potential vendors and evaluate their capabilities to meet Trainocate’s needs in technology training solutions.

ii. Monitor vendor performance through regular assessments and provide feedback for improvement.

Vendor Relationship Management

i. Negotiate new contracts and terms with vendors to secure favourable agreements that align with Trainocate’s objectives.

ii. Develop and maintain strong relationships with vendors to ensure quality standards and timely training materials and service delivery.

iii. Ensure compliance with vendor policies and industry regulations, manage any associated risks, and deliver quality products or services.

iv. Resolve any issues or disputes that may arise with vendors promptly, professionally, and effectively.

 

Strategic Planning 

i. Identify revenue-generating opportunities with vendors to meet market demand for in-country product development initiatives.

ii. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align vendor activities with Trainocate’s organisational goals and strategies.

iii. Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and the vendor landscape in the technology training sector.

iv. Establish clear KPIs to measure Trainocate and vendor performance, such as on-time delivery, quality, and cost.

v. Implement different management approaches for different vendor categories, such as strategic partnerships, transactional relationships, or as required.

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in vendor management, business development, or a related role, preferably in the technology training industry.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Excellent English professional business writing, communication, and interpersonal abilities.

EXPERIENCE

5 years of proven experience in international or regional vendor management such as Microsoft, AWS and other key cloud vendors. Deep understanding of the industry, job functions, and best practices. The ability to identify and resolve complex issues effectively. Have the capacity to make informed judgments, flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances, and learn new skills.

SKILLS

  • Expert in digital tools such as Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Dynamics 365 CRM, ZoomInfo, and others.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of industry trends and vendor landscape in technology training.
  • A team player working closely with global marketing—digital, content, and design teams.
