The Role

We are now looking for a web3 native VP Business Development to join our leadership team reporting into our CEO, Jess Houlgrave. You’ll be at the forefront of shaping the adoption of Web3 technologies, leading our global efforts to expand our footprint across wallets, apps, enterprises, and partners. Your leadership will define how we bring our cutting-edge SDKs to the next 100 million crypto users, empowering developers worldwide to create exceptional experiences.


The team:

We have team members working worldwide. We leverage agile methodologies to move quickly and stay focused. Communication is vital to us, and we rely heavily on Slack, Google Workspace, Notion, and Telegram to help us stay in sync. This role will ultimately build out our global sales and partnerships team and work very closely with marketing, product and developer relations.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a high-impact Sales and Partnerships strategy that strengthens WalletConnect’s position as the leading SDK provider for wallets and apps, driving measurable adoption and revenue growth.
  • Identify, build and maintain enterprise level relationships with key partners across gaming, payments, financial services, and web 3 to facilitate the introduction and adoption of our products.
  • Drive adoption growth across target customer segments, with clear KPIs for partner engagement, revenue, and customer retention.
  • Manage every aspect of the sales cycle from lead generation, pitching, negotiation, closing and ongoing relationship management in partnership with marketing and devrel.
  • Build and develop partnerships with infrastructure providers, blockchain foundations and other ecosystem participants.
  • Train, develop, manage and mentor a small but mighty team of sales, BD and partnerships people and partner closely with our marketing team to create great content and our developer relations team to ensure smooth onboarding and integration for our customers.
  • Partner with our operations team to implement best practices for sales operations ensuring a full and flowing pipeline, forecasts and great reporting.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of building a strong Sales / GTM engine.
  • Demonstrated experience in building creative strategic partnerships to open new business opportunities.
  • Be the trusted partner for our largest app developers helping to identify their future needs and partnering with our product teams to help them identify opportunities.
  • Deep understanding of the Web3 ecosystem, including wallets, SDKs, dApps, and the developer experience in crypto technologies and experience selling technical products to a technical audience.
  • Experience with a broad customer base given Reown’s self-serve offering to developers up to enterprise sales motions for executive audiences/clients in web2.
  • Proven network of relationships with decision-makers in crypto, including infrastructure providers, blockchain foundations, and leading app developers.
  • Demonstrated experience in building, managing, and mentoring high-performing global teams, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Up to date on the latest trends and growth areas in crypto – an avid user of crypto apps.
  • Ability to travel as needed to industry events, company offsites and to spend time with key partners.
