About the role
A fantastic permanent opportunity to lead a critical team!
As Manager – Wastewater Operations, you will oversee day-to-day state-wide management of the Wastewater Operations team. You will be tasked with setting strategic direction for remote operations and wastewater, including development of the monitor control and optimise the framework for wastewater operations.
You will provide strategic guidance to your team leads. This will include coaching and mentoring your leads in the areas of management, staff development, and meeting customer service levels and operation requirements to help them succeed as leaders.
You will be the representation of the business unit at key stakeholder meetings. You will form strong relationships with our Maintenance and Reliability, Perth Region Field Services and Treatment & Resource Recovery business units.

What you can expect with this role
- Monitor and measure the deliverables from Wastewater Operations to ensure that the strategic wastewater projects remain relevant and develop and recommend improvements to address identified gaps.
- Proactively lead Wastewater Operations in adapting to the changing needs and requirements of customer and stakeholders.
- Optimise the management, development, and deployment of all team members, ensuring appropriate delegation of work, empowering them to take responsibility for their jobs and objectives, and ensuring they have the capability to consistently deliver expected outcomes.
Your skills and experience
- Degree level qualification in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Environmental Engineering
- Extensive experience in the management and operation of water related infrastructure, business systems, assets, and processes in a multi-functional state-wide organisation.
- Substantial experience in wastewater treatment and quality principles to wastewater operations.
- Substantial experience in and demonstrated advanced knowledge of incident management theory and practice.
- Substantial experience in building and managing business relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
