This Opportunity:
- Project management
- Leading the preparation of water resource related plans and specifications
- Interfacing with clients
- Marketing SEH services
- Mentoring engineering staff
Essential Qualifications:
- Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to receive licensure within 6 months.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
- Strong experience in water resources and/or civil engineering.
- Must be skilled in project management including managing budgets, personnel and project schedules.
- Previous experience with development of construction plans, specifications and bidding documents.
- Previous experience and working knowledge of cad software such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, Openroads, or GIS. Plan production of grading plans, erosion and sediment control plans, water resources related plans and profiles and details.
- Previous experience in proposal and client management; Proven history in leading and winning proposals.
- Capable of scoping, budgeting, coordinating sub-consultants; and successfully leading a multi-disciplined design team.
- Representing SEH with agencies at project and public meetings
- Determining major project design decisions in conjunction with client
- Ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, on-site inspections/visits, etc.; Occasional overnight travel will be required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 10 years of previous experience in water resources and/or civil engineering.
- Previous project experience in the areas of hydrologic and hydraulic analysis and design, open channel hydraulic design, green infrastructure, storm sewer systems and multi-disciplinary drainage projects.
- Previous experience with software programs such as HEC-RAS, SWMM programs, and stormwater conveyance software.
- Established relationships with clients or potential clients.
- Reside in or around, Sioux Falls, SD, Des Moines, IA, St. Paul, MN, or Omaha, NE
