Woocommerce WordPress Developer And Troubleshooter Wfh (Remote)

We are in search of a dedicated and skilled WooCommerce / WordPress Developer and Troubleshooter to join our dynamic remote team. This position offers an opportunity to engage in designing, developing, and maintaining innovative software solutions that meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the development team to strategize and execute features and functionalities.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Test and debug software to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Provide accurate time estimates for project tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues effectively, especially in high-pressure situations.
• Assist with the ongoing support and maintenance of existing software products.
• Maintain effective communication with project managers, developers, and clients.
• Participate in client discussions during the project discovery phase.
• Ensure comprehensive documentation through GitHub and Jira.
• Escalate challenges to the Development Lead, Project Manager, or clients as necessary.

Required Skills

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in software development.
• At least 2 years of experience in creating, maintaining, and enhancing WordPress and/or WooCommerce Plugins and Themes.
• Solid background in backend development.
• Proficient in PHP, HTML/CSS, MySQL, JavaScript, webpack, and Git.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems.
• Experience with software testing, debugging, and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Must be based in the U.S. (please note that we are currently not accepting candidates from New York).
• Ability to work fully remote in a cloud environment, with experience using GitHub, GitHub Codespaces, and Docker being essential.
• Experience with Jira and Confluence is advantageous.
