Key Responsibilities
- Investigate, assess, and adjust intricate workers’ compensation claims in Oregon and Washington.
- Ensure meticulous maintenance of claim files, adhering to both regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in effective communication with injured workers, employers, medical professionals, and legal representatives.
- Analyze medical and legal reports to ascertain claim compensability and formulate return-to-work strategies.
- Deliver outstanding customer service, demonstrating your expertise and professionalism.
- Participate in mediations, hearings, and other legal proceedings as required.
- Serve as a resource for complex claim issues and contribute to the development of resolution strategies.
- Commit to continuous training and development to remain informed about industry trends and regulations.
Required Skills
- Valid OR Adjuster’s License.
- Advanced understanding of Oregon workers’ compensation claims, encompassing state regulations, compensability, medical treatment guidelines, and settlement processes.
- Exceptional decision-making skills and the ability to manage a substantial caseload independently.
- Proven capacity for maintaining accuracy and attention to detail in high-volume claims management.
- Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficient in claim management systems along with the Microsoft Office Suite.
- AIC, ARM, or CPCU designation is preferred but not mandatory.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in workers’ compensation claim adjusting, with a robust focus on Oregon claims (experience with Washington claims is advantageous).
