I started to work during University in my father's company. I did everything from drywall, painting and cleaning, to working as a delivery boy on the truck. I learnt the company from the ground up. eventually I became a Project Manager. Throughout it all, he always told me,
"Give the customer 110%. Make sure the customer is happy, no matter the cost, and they will become your greatest advocates.
I have always carried that advice with me. It shapes the way I deal with customers, even today. When my father died, his business partner ousted me, and I was out of work, with a 6 month old son, for 10 months. Although my wife had a good job, it was still very depressing. I promised myself I would never allow myself to be in that position again. This is what drives me today, because I want to work and provide for my family, but I also want balance. I am ready for the remote work challenge, because I believe I will be able to obtain the balance I want for myself, and my family.
