When it dawned on me at the young age of 7 that I would not be the next Dr. Alan Grant of the world, I turned my career endeavors to writing. My first creative short story was produced a mere few hours after my dreams of living up to Dr. Grant’s status fell. The story was about two kids wearing capes and saving a white tiger. I’m happy to say that my storytelling abilities have since improved.
While paleontology didn’t work out so well for me, writing sure has. The key to my success with words exists in discovering that putting words on paper is creative, but editing is art. Too bad my 7-year-old-self didn’t know this.
I’ve spent over 20 years honing my craft and I’m still not perfect. I probably never will be, but that’s okay because it is the pursuit of perfection that continuously fuels my passion to learn more, do more, and create more – art is ever evolving.
Throughout this process of evolution, I’ve picked up some other useful skills along the way and learned some cool stuff about myself, such as:

I play well with others and actually enjoy it a whole lot.
I’m an exceptional management professional.
I can plan extended travel and globetrotting like no other.
My creative progression since that young age of 7 has now led me to the wonderful and sometimes stressful world of freelance writing and customer relations where I am, of course, still striving to be Dr. Grant-- of prose and client satisfaction this time around rather than paleontology.
That being said, I am always looking to meet other creative and spirited types from all industries and look forward to building new relationships rather they are near or far.
