I prospected via cold calling and booking my own face to face field meetings with prospects before going out to close. Acquisition, retention & growth activity within the <250 employee, B2BCorporate marketplace, private+public sectors. A converged business portfolio incl. voice, data, internet, landline & partner solutions. Generatedleads & sold new connections & additional services to achieve revenues in line with objectives & sales targets. Liaised with other internal departments (e.g. cust. services) as required, ensuring customer issues were resolved. Reported to: Area Sales Manager, Head of Acquisition &Sales Director. Sold into: Head of ITs, Associate Directors, Global IT Managers, incl. Gov’ sectors. Soon after joining, BT bought EE. As part of BT’s Training, I passed a SPIN Selling refresher. Meetings were face to face and via the web. Integrating with Salesforce on a daily basis and reporting into management on pipeline and progress against monthly new business commitments. Delivered a bespoke service for biodegradable packaging solutions to SMEs & Blue-chip clients. Self gen’ leads. More than doubled client base, via Cold Calling & 1-3 days per/wk of self-booked Field meetings. ‘Account Managed’ existing clients, spotted opportunities to upsell, regularly exceeding targets. Given a lot of responsibility, I thoroughly enjoyed overcoming any challenges. As a high achiever I was also called upon to improve the company’s in-house marketing, so I created high quality interactive brochures, E-Shots, improved the website & ran exhibitions. I even worked with CRM programmers to develop a new CRM. Consistently raised company profits & built up a long list of major clients who order regularly. The first tender I secured was worth over £150k. Interestingly, the client was at final stages having approved another supplier, but due to my determination & persuasiveness I won the tender. A later sale, that I was particularly proud of was Liverpool FC & Carlsberg at £40k P/A & ever growing. First position after graduating.
