Role: Sr. Software Engineer

Engineering Team

• size of 5 currently.
• reporting directly to the chief engineer.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Design and implement new features for a compound AI system
• Implement APIs, integrate with third-party services
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality code
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python and Go code
• Develop and maintain unit, integration, and functional tests
• Provide customer support to early adopters
• The Senior Engineers will spend most of their time working with the team and working in VS code (Visual Studio Code is a lightweight source code editor that helps developers write, build, and debug code, on a daily basis. We have an AI SOC Analyst and it’s built on top of a compound AI system. (A compound AI system is an architecture that tackles complex AI tasks by combining multiple interacting components, like different AI models, data retrieval systems, and external tools, working together to achieve a better outcome than using a single model alone; essentially, it leverages the strengths of various AI components to enhance performance and flexibility in solving problems.) They will be working on some component of that compound AI system, whether that’s in the platform side on the APIs or whether that’s on the data model side, or whether that’s working on the agentic framework to try to get the agents to talk to each other and to get the model to work or whether that’s on the dispatching side where we’re integrated with different query engines, etc. We will assign to work based on what people are really good at – querying engines and dispatching, knowledge graphs and how to do data modeling, APIs etc.

Required Skills & Experience

5+ years of experience software development.

Experience developing a large scale product that is put in the hands of customers, not just SaaS or internal dev

SaaS, if they have developed on Docker and Kubernetes it can substitute.

Strong programming skills in at least one of the following languages, need some of both: Python, Go/Golang/Go Language

Must have used AWS resources –

Must have experience developing on Kubernetes

Proficiency in API development (NOT just using APIs) (examples are REST, GraphQL, etc).

Familiarity with API frameworks (such as Fast API/GraphQL), and workflow engines (such as Airflow)

Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code from their environments

Knowledge of databases, data modeling, and performance optimization techniques.

Agile development methodologies and version control systems

Nice To Have

Experience on a security product engineering team with frequent releases

Published code in a public project e.g. Github (solo or team)

Knowledge of security, privacy, and compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOC 2).
