Role Purpose
The Country Manager, Netherlands, will drive our growth in the Dutch market by tailoring
strategies to meet local needs, developing strategic partnerships, and working closely with
Horticulture growers to align our offerings with their unique requirements. The role will also
involve collaborating with the UK team to deliver a seamless customer journey and establishing
the Netherlands as the spearhead market for global expansion.
Key Responsibilities
- Sales Growth Strategy for Market Leadership
- Develop and execute a robust sales growth strategy that positions the Netherlands as the flagship market, setting a precedent for our expansion into additional regions.
- Establish KPIs and benchmarks for performance in the Netherlands that can be replicated in future international markets, ensuring scalable sales practices that support Horticulture Global growth.
- Localised Market Expansion and Partnership Development
- Lead efforts to adapt our market offerings to Dutch preferences, leveraging insights from local customers to shape future product development.
- Develop strategic partnerships within the Horticulture industry, prioritising pilot projects and trials with growers to showcase our product effectiveness and value.
- Pilot Programs and Industry Influence
- Engage directly with Dutch Horticulture growers to understand operational capacities, needs, and preferences, using their feedback to refine products for local and future global applications.
- Roll out trials and pilot programs that demonstrate product efficacy and long-term value, establishing us as a leader in the Dutch horticulture market and creating case studies to support entry into new markets.
Customer Journey & UK Team Collaboration
- Partner with the UK team to provide a seamless, end-to-end customer experience, ensuring that the Netherlands’ client journey aligns with our standards and is adaptable for other regions.
- Utilise feedback and insights from Dutch customers to refine customer journey processes, creating a scalable model for high-quality service in additional markets.
- Team Building and Local Operations
- Build and manage a Netherlands-based team, fostering an environment that is both collaborative and results-focused.
- Coordinate with UK-based resources to share insights and leverage our expertise, ensuring a unified approach to delivering value across borders.
- Market Intelligence and Global Expansion Blueprint
- Utilise the Netherlands as a strategic testing ground to gather insights on trends, regulations, and competition, refining our strategy for similar markets worldwide.
- Create case studies from successes and lessons learned in the Dutch market to guide our entry into new regions, showcasing proven strategies.
- Develop a scalable knowledge base, enabling market-specific approaches that can be replicated, ensuring effective, adaptable strategies for global expansion.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Experience
- 5+ years in business development, sales, and international market expansion, ideally within Horticulture, technology, or related fields.
- Demonstrated success in spearheading growth in a lead market, with a record of implementing scalable strategies.
Skills
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, with excellent cross-cultural communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to implement a sales growth strategy that aligns with global ambitions, focusing on local insights and market intelligence to support adaptability in new regions.
