Who We Are Seeking
Left Field Labs is seeking a talented Technical Lead to join our team. You will work alongside a group of dedicated and multi-disciplined technologists and designers to bring high quality solutions to market. You will work on multiple projects at all stages – from conception to delivery, and be expected to provide technical leadership both to the team and to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Develop solutions to business problems with code that includes user interfaces, interactivity, multimedia, communication with APIs, and authentication using both web frameworks and vanilla Javascript
- Participate in project planning sessions with team members to analyze development requirements, provide work breakdown and estimates of work
- Collaborate with UX and UI designers to validate wireframes and high-resolution design comps
- Author documentation on projects (such as Technical Design Documents) and for department knowledge sharing
- Communicate directly with clients in meetings, presentations, and technical discussions.
- Support all aspects of day-to-day project management, including ownership of specified project deliverables and workstreams
- Lead agile product development workflow, including writing and managing JIRA tickets
- Manage a small team of developers that report to you
The hourly range for this role is $75 – 90/hour. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Culver City, California. This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
What You’ll Need To Be Successful
- At least 8 years of experience building web-based applications.
- Advanced level expertise with React, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3
- Professional experience doing backend development with Python and/or Node.js and an understanding of concepts including databases, APIs, authentication and serverless architecture.
- Experience building sites with an enterprise CMS (eg, Contentful, Brightspot, Sitecore etc..)
- Experience acting as project manager or scrum master using JIRA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with direct client interaction and technical project leadership.
