The Sales Representative (Dome and Arch Building Sales) will beresponsible for developing new sales and managing existing accountrelationships throughout East of Mississippi, with an emphasis on growingthe Marcus Construction brand and relationships within the Constructionindustries. Focus areas for location of sales rep would be MI, IL, IN, WI,OH or KY.Essential Job DutiesUnderstand customer business strategy, decision-making process, andcustomer culture to develop a path for negotiating and closing new businessopportunitiesConduct sales presentations and coordinate the development of bidproposals and quotesDevelop and cultivate positive relationships at all levels of theorganizationExecute sales strategy to meet monthly, quarterly, and annual revenuegoalsGather and share competitive information with appropriate internaldepartments and assist with customer retention by being aware ofcompetitive situations and proposing counter strategies to defend and gainmarket shareContinually draw insights on customer needs and seek opportunities totranslate these into actionable plans and new sales developmentDevelop and maintain a strong working knowledge of the markets andcompetitive landscapeAnalyze marketing insights to unlock opportunities for future accountgrowthDevelop and maintain up-to-date ‘fact-based’ customer developmentplansEffectively use all business tools to document interactions withprospects and to update internal stakeholders on account activityFollow up on leads via phone, email, and face-to-face meetings toconnect with future customersLearn and keep up to date on construction processes and buildingmaterials to answer customer questions accurately and makerecommendationsActively lead sales conversations and take detailed notes that can betranslated into construction documents, designs, and price quotesPosition Qualifications And ExperienceFour-year degree in Business Administration or Ag related fieldbeneficial5+ years of relevant experience in sales, preferably in theagricultural industry/construction marketConstruction experience beneficialExperience using relevant CRM software (HubSpot preferred)Proven track record of building sales and driving market growth throughorganic growthPossess effective negotiation and analytical business selling skills,including experience in prospecting, quoting, and closing profitable newbusinessAmbition to exceed sales goals and contribute to continuousimprovementAbility to read drawings and schedules prepared by architects andproject managersMust be willing to travel throughout the US for extended periods oftime.
