Wolkk is currently seeking a talented Software Engineer with experiencein C# and .NET to join our dynamic team. As a Software Engineer(Automation), you will be integral to our client’s mission, developingstate-of-the-art software for the world’s largest manufacturer ofchillers. This role demands more than just programming skills; it requiresa deep understanding of mechatronics and/or robotics to enhance theperformance and sustainability of their systems. Working under the GlobalDirector of Controls Engineering, you’ll be instrumental in evolvingtheir legacy systems and shaping future innovations.Responsibilities:Develop and maintain control software for advanced chiller systemsusing C# and .NET technologiesIntegrate software solutions with mechatronic and robotic systems tooptimize performance and sustainability.Working closely with the Global development team to support localoperations.Focus on hands-on programming and problem-solving to improve bothexisting and next-generation chiller controls.Work with SQL databases to design, develop, and maintain datastructures and queries.Create and consume RESTful APIs to enable seamless communicationbetween different components of the application.Collaborate with a small, specialized team responsible for criticaltroubleshooting and ‘firefighting’ to ensure system reliabilityand performanceStay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies tocontinuously improve development processes and methodologies.Qualifications:A degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related field, with at least 5years’ experience in industrial software development.Proven experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on C# and .NETdevelopment.Familiarity with C++, Java, or other object-oriented programminglanguages is advantageous.Familiarity with mechatronics and/or robotics.Strong background in PLC programming and HMI applicationdevelopment.Experience in full software development lifecycle, from requirementgathering to deployment and maintenance.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.Strong communication and collaboration abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a remote team.Commitment to continuous learning and improvement.Ideal Candidate:You are not just a developer; you are a creator who thrives in adynamic, global environment.You are adept at using your programming skillsto make machinery perform optimally.
