She was a Pangian from the beginning. Now she works remotely.

But most of all, we are all about supporting, empowering and cheering for each other, so today we celebrate another success story with big congratulations to Jossie Auerbach.
Jossie recently got a 100% remote job through our Pangian community as an Integrated Marketing Manager at Grok Nation, founded by actress-neuroscientist-mom Mayim Bialik from Big Bang Theory!
Jossie is from the USA and has been part of Pangian remote community since the very beginning (before we were even called Pangian).
Here is her amazing story and advice for landing remote job.
“I come from a family of explorers, entrepreneurs, connectors, eaters, and advocates.
I am a global citizen and an entrepreneurial thinker who loves to laugh and indulge in good food.
I’ve lived in the UK, US, and France, and have traveled throughout Europe, Kenya (my brother and sister-in-law currently live in Nairobi), China (my grandmother was an American born in Nanjing), Peru, Mexico, Canada, and the US.
But these days I spend lots of quality time in Colorado with my husband and baby–a cheerful crew!

My advice for seekers of a remote job: Firstly, hang in there!
It takes an enormous amount of hard work, patience, and continuous refinement of your efforts, but the right job will come along.
Be specific in what your ideal role is (for yourself, not for employers) and where there’s room for flexibility.
For your resume, demonstrate that you can work remotely and as part of a team.
For your cover letter and the email you send with it, be authentic and really speak to what they need for the role.
I honestly was amazed (and so thankful!) to find my job on Pangian, mostly because I’m a huge believer in the power of networking, so I was convinced a job would come through my network.
I still believe in this: actively set up at least one weekly coffee meeting or attend a networking event or have a phone call/video call with someone who is relevant to your search (perhaps even in the Pangian community?!).
And remember networking goes two ways, so make sure it’s not just about you, see if you can be of help to them, too; keep in mind that their time is valuable, so be prepared with what you want to talk/hear about.
Overall, keep at it (and take breaks to have fun) and it’ll happen!
