The new hire will be expectedto run on a 3-3-3 model (3 payrolls at data gatherings, 3 at payroll buildsand 3 at live) so 9 payrolls at one time will be the usual workload.The primary responsibility of this role is to lead the implementation ofongoing payroll teams and ensure the successful delivery of German payrollimplementations within scope, timelines, and contractual requirements.Reporting to the Regional Director, you will also be responsible forcoaching and training employees to improve operations, decrease turnaroundtimes, streamline work processes, and provide seamless customer service.Additionally, you will execute new clients and projects to timescales andbudgets, provide quotes to all payroll clients for services and ad hocwork, build and maintain internal stakeholder relationships, managecustomer relationships and service delivery in Germany, and ensurecompliance with all company policies and procedures. As the PayrollOperations Lead, you will have a significant impact on the success of thepayroll operations.Key Responsibilities:Coordinate thedepartment’s workflow and distribute work evenly across theteamEnsure the delivery of high-quality, responsive, and efficientserviceMaintain accurate resource plans and plan future resourcerequirementsPrioritize project activities and ongoing operations withguidance from the Regional DirectorAct as an escalation point for teammembers and customers, providing support and directionManage absence andemployee holidays to ensure adequate resourcingDevelop training schedulesfor the Payroll Teams for continuous career development and businessimprovementsEnsure timely and accurate invoicing, coordinating with theFinance Department for continuous improvementMaintain company quality anddata security standardsDevelop and maintain the relevant BusinessManagement System in the RegionParticipate in recruitment and selection ofnew team membersIdentify and deliver training requirements for individualsand the teamPerform employee annual performance appraisals and identifytraining needsReview payroll processes for efficiency improvements andpresent business cases for changeBuild and maintain strong relationshipswith customersEnsure effective communication plan within the regionEnsure asafe working environment and address health and safety concernsBe involvedin commercial proposals generated by the Payroll DepartmentIdentifyimprovements and new technology to improve the Payroll Department’sefficiencyStay up to date with German legislative changesKeySkills:Possess a high level of payroll and payroll-related legislationknowledge in GermanyLeadership and direct management experienceA soundunderstanding of risk management activities and processesThe ability tolead, influence, and motivate teams, providing direction and clearinstructionExperienced in resource planning and managementHigh level ofcommunication skills, with the ability to present and communicateeffectivelyFlexible and adaptable to changeAn ability to coach and mentorteam members to develop a robust succession planCustomer-focused with theability to establish and strengthen relationships with customers andinternal stakeholdersAbility to multi-task and to co-ordinate numerousprojects and operational teams concurrentlyThe ability to work underpressure to strict deadlines and to manage and direct team members duringpeak timesGood level of IT literacy; familiarity with databases and currentsoftware packagesCan manage self and can manage own time and workloadefficiently and effectivelyMinimum 5 years experience in payroll processingand administrationPrevious experience in a Team Leader or Management roleessentialConfidentiality when dealing with personal staff matters/financialmatters/clientsImportant to note:The salary for this role isc€80,000No direct reportsMust be a Native / fluent German speakerThree key deliverables to achieve within the first six months?1.
